Description
A delicious twist on the classic Chicken Cordon Bleu, this Stromboli is filled with shredded chicken, ham, and a blend of cheeses, all wrapped in pizza dough.

- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 4 ounces ham, sliced
- 4 ounces Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 package (1 lb) pizza dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, sliced ham, Swiss cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, black pepper, and Dijon mustard. Mix until well combined.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the edges to seal.
- Place the rolled stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with beaten egg.
- Using a sharp knife, make a few slits on top of the stromboli to allow steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add sliced jalapeños or red pepper flakes to the filling.
- Substitute the chicken with turkey or use a mix of different cheeses for a unique flavor.
