- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the chopped spinach and cook for 2-3 minutes until wilted.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Mix until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
- For added protein, consider adding cooked chicken or shrimp to the dish.
- Substitute the spinach with kale or broccoli for a different flavor and texture.
