Description
A delicious and easy-to-make Garlic Butter Steak and Lemon Green Beans Skillet recipe that combines tender steak with fresh green beans in a flavorful garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper. Once the oil is hot, add the steak to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the green beans to the skillet and stir to coat them in the garlic butter. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are tender-crisp.
- Return the steak to the skillet and add the lemon juice and zest. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.
- Remove from heat and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes when sautéing the garlic.
- Substitute the green beans with asparagus or broccoli for a different flavor and texture.
