- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli florets, olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the broccoli is evenly coated.
- Spread the broccoli mixture in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender and slightly charred, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Toss gently to combine.
- If using, sprinkle toasted pine nuts on top before serving.
