  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup sweetened shredded coconut optional, for garnish
  • Whipped cream optional, for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the coconut milk and whole milk over medium heat. Stir gently until the mixture is warm but not boiling.
  2. Whisk in the cocoa powder, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and sea salt until fully combined and smooth. Continue to heat for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Once heated through, remove from heat and pour the hot chocolate into mugs.
  4. If desired, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with sweetened shredded coconut for garnish.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy your creamy coconut hot chocolate!
