- In a medium saucepan, combine the coconut milk and whole milk over medium heat. Stir gently until the mixture is warm but not boiling.
- Whisk in the cocoa powder, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and sea salt until fully combined and smooth. Continue to heat for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Once heated through, remove from heat and pour the hot chocolate into mugs.
- If desired, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with sweetened shredded coconut for garnish.
