  • 1 pound fresh squid cleaned and sliced into rings
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Allow it to melt completely.
  2. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the squid rings to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the squid is opaque and cooked through.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
  5. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the squid.
