Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Start by cleaning 400g of Fresh Fat Moon Lion’s Mane mushrooms. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to gently remove any dirt, being careful not to damage them. Trim off any tough stems and set the cleaned mushrooms aside.
  2. Next, break the mushrooms into large, bite-sized pieces, aiming for pieces about 2-3 inches in size.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together 0.5 cup of flour, 0.5 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of sesame oil, and 3 tablespoons of soy sauce. Add 1 minced garlic clove, 0.5 teaspoon salt, 0.5 tablespoon cumin seeds, 1 tablespoon cumin powder, and 1 teaspoon chili powder. Mix until smooth.
  4. Coat the mushroom pieces generously with the marinade and let them sit for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Thread the marinated mushrooms onto approximately 9 skewers, adding 4-5 pieces per skewer.
  6. Heat a large shallow pan over medium-low heat, adding a thin layer of vegetable oil.
  7. Carefully place the skewers in the hot oil and pan-fry for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  8. After browning, pour the reserved marinade over the skewers in the pan and let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  9. Remove the skewers from the pan and sprinkle with extra sesame seeds before serving hot.
