Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Red and blue sprinkles or colored sugar for decoration

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar, stirring until well blended.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
  11. Once cooled, use the star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out star shapes from the brownies.
  12. Place the stars on a serving platter and sprinkle with red and blue sprinkles for a festive touch.
