Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped chocolate candy bars such as Snickers or Reese's
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped candy bars and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
