  • 1 cup Chopped Onions or shallots
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic fresh garlic is best
  • 1 cup Brown Rice or white rice/quinoa
For the Vegetables
  • 1 cup Steamed Green Beans or Spinach or broccoli/kale
For the Garlic Butter
  • 2 tbsp Garlic Butter or olive oil/butter alternative
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan or nutritional yeast for dairy-free

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add 1 chopped onion, stirring regularly until it turns translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Then, mix in 2 minced garlic cloves, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add 1 pound of ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it apart and seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt 2 tablespoons of garlic butter. Add another teaspoon of minced garlic and let it sizzle for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. While turkey is cooking, prepare 1 cup of brown rice according to package instructions, typically about 20 minutes.
  5. Steam your choice of vegetables for about 3-4 minutes until vibrant and tender.
  6. Assemble your bowls: Start with brown rice, layer on the savory ground turkey and steamed veggies, drizzle with garlic butter, and finish with grated Parmesan.
