  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley optional
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce for drizzling, optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick).
  3. In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Once out of the oven, immediately sprinkle the fries with sesame seeds and toss gently to combine.
  7. If desired, drizzle with soy sauce and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
