- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray donut pans with non-stick cooking spray.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg in a mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, milk, sour cream, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients gently until just combined.
- Fill each donut cavity about two-thirds full with the batter.
- Bake for 10–13 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
